KINGS POINT, NY (AP) -Chris Coney scored three touchdowns and finished with 128 yards rushing on 12 carries as Union (NY) trounced winless Merchant Marine, 54-14, in a Liberty League game Saturday.
Coney scored from 16 yards out twice and also scored on a 37-yard run.
Andy Cattelier, quarterback for the Dutchmen (2-2, 2-0), connected on 10 of 17 passes for 170 yards and two touchdowns.
The first covered 7 yards to Andrew Reigle at 9:50 of the second quarter that boosted Union’s lead to 26-0, while the second was good for 8 yards to Josh McKelligan at 8:25 of the third.
Derrick Ventre, the Mariners’ quarterback combined with Mike Stewart on a 35-yard TD at 5:10 of the second quarter and an 11-yarder to Garrett Washington at 12:01 of the fourth.
