ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) – Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck’s decision to return for his senior season left a hole in the 2011 NFL draft class.
It also gave other signal callers a chance to improve their stock ahead of April’s draft. They will get their first shot at doing that in the 86th East-West Shrine game Saturday in Orlando.
Delaware’s Pat Devlin headlines the group. The 2008 Penn State transfer is drawing comparisons to another Blue Hen standout, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco.
Detroit Lions personnel executive James Harris says the Shrine Game is a “good opportunity” for quarterbacks to elevate themselves to the middle rounds of the draft.
