STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) -A Payne County judge has dropped a protective order filed against an Oklahoma State football player who suddenly left the team just days before the season opener against No. 13 Georgia.
Special Judge Louis Duel dismissed the order against Jamal Mosley on Wednesday when no one involved in the case appeared for a scheduled hearing.
Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy announced Tuesday that Mosley, a sophomore tight end listed atop the Cowboys’ depth chart, had left the No. 9 team for “personal reasons” but declined to comment further. A university spokesman also declined comment.
Oklahoma State officials have not linked Mosley’s departure to the protective order filed last week by a woman. The order was under court seal.
