OMAHA, Neb. (AP) -In a season of milestones, the biggest is within reach for Oklahoma State.
The Cowboys can clinch their first Big 12 South title Saturday if they win at Kansas and Oklahoma loses at Baylor. Otherwise, they would lock it up with a win at home over the Sooners the following week.
Coach Mike Gundy says these are exciting times in Stillwater, Okla., as the Cowboys try to become the first team since 1998 other than Texas or Oklahoma to play in the Big 12 title game.
The 12th-ranked Cowboys have won road games at Texas Tech and Texas for the first time since 1944, and a win over Kansas gives them their first perfect record in away games since 1945.
No. 9 Nebraska can clinch the North with a win at Texas A&M on Saturday.
