TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) – Alabama will once again be well represented in the first round of the NFL draft.
The Crimson Tide has a strong shot at having at least four opening round picks for the third consecutive year in Thursday’s draft, and might even manage five.
Cornerback Dee Milliner and offensive linemen Chance Warmack and D.J. Fluker are regarded as sure first-rounders. Tailback Eddie Lacy and defensive tackle Jesse Williams also are considered potential No. 1 picks.
Lacy says when NFL teams draft someone from the two-time defending national champions “they know they’re going to get a good player.”
The Tide’s other draft prospects include center Barrett Jones, linebacker Nico Johnson and safety Robert Lester.
Milliner, Warmack, Fluker and Lacy all are expected to attend the draft in New York.
