ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) – Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez says he isn’t making changes to his defensive staff following the Wolverines’ third straight loss.
Defensive coordinator Greg Robinson and his assistants have been criticized for failing to improve an inexperienced unit that is giving up 30 points a game and is statistically ranked among the nation’s worst defenses.
The Wolverines lost 41-31 to Penn State on Saturday night. After a 5-0 start, this season look very similar to the last one and that’s not good news their embattled coach.
Michigan athletic director Dave Brandon said Monday that he’ll comment on the state of the program after the season is over, adding he believes the coaches and players are working hard to get better.
