WASHINGTON (AP) -The first meeting between Washington, D.C., schools Georgetown and Howard was postponed Saturday because of Tropical Storm Hanna. The game has been rescheduled to Sunday.
Georgetown coach Kevin Kelly said the decision was made with the safety of the athletes and fans in mind. Kelly said the weather was expected to improve Sunday for what may become a great college rivalry for the nation’s capital.
The game will be played at Greene Stadium on Howard’s campus. The schools agreed to a four-game series.
