EVANSTON, Ill. (AP) – There won’t be many more glaring obstacles standing between Michigan State and the Big Ten championship after this stretch.
There are, however, two big ones right in front of the Spartans.
Eighth-ranked Michigan State is leaving its home state for the first time this season to play Northwestern on Saturday, with a trip to Iowa next week in a game that could go a long way toward determining the conference championship.
First the Spartans have to get by the Wildcats, not exactly a small hurdle.
Quarterback Kirk Cousins realizes if Michigan State falls, “no one’s going to remember where we were at Week 7.”
