FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) – TCU opponents are 0-for-October getting into the end zone. Those three teams have combined for zero touchdowns and one field goal.
The fourth-ranked Horned Frogs always have good defenses, but what they’ve done this month is downright dominant: Colorado, Wyoming and BYU averaged only 166 total yards a game.
TCU (7-0) is home Saturday night against Air Force and coach Troy Calhoun realizes the challenge his team faces. He points out the Frogs are “giving up one point a game” this month.
Before BYU managed a 27-yard field goal in the third quarter last Saturday, there were shutouts against Colorado State and Wyoming. TCU is the only FBS team this season to hold consecutive opponents scoreless.
