EVANSTON, Ill. (AP) – Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio was back on the sideline to start Saturday’s game against Northwestern.
Dantonio had a mild heart attack immediately after the Notre Dame game a month ago, then a blood clot in his leg. He had worked the past two games from the pressbox.
Meanwhile, cornerback Chris L. Rucker did not make the trip. He was suspended indefinitely after being charged with drunken driving following the Michigan game two weeks ago.
The eighth-ranked Spartans came into Saturday’s game at 7-0 overall, 3-0 in the Big Ten.
