STARKVILLE, Miss. (AP) – Dak Prescott is doing nothing to temper the massive expectations for his final college season.
The Mississippi State quarterback completed 20 of 29 passes for 231 yards and three touchdowns Saturday during the Bulldogs’ spring game, spreading the ball around the field with the poise expected from a senior who’s already among the school’s leaders in just about every passing category.
Now Mississippi State is trying to make sure the rest of the roster is capable of supporting him.
The early returns look promising: De’Runnya Wilson caught five passes for 92 yards and a touchdown, and the Bulldogs’ rebuilt offensive line – which will have at least three new starters next season – usually gave the quarterbacks enough time to read the field and make throws.
