FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) – New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick says his early impression on new acquisition Albert Haynesworth has been good.
Belichick says the defensive tackle has worked hard and is coming along, but there is still a long way to go in training camp.
Haynesworth practiced with the Patriots for the first time on Sunday. The team had Monday off, but was back on the practice field Tuesday.
Belichick would not address specifics on Haynesworth’s troubled history. He says the Patriots take a thorough look at every player before deciding they’re comfortable enough to sign him.
Belichick says if it doesn’t work out, that player won’t be with the team any more.
