SEATTLE (AP) -Despite tender ribs and a bruised thigh that’s lingered for more than two weeks, Washington quarterback Jake Locker doesn’t have any doubt he’ll be starting on Saturday when the Huskies host No. 13 Stanford.
Locker spoke Monday, two days after the Huskies were routed 44-14 at No. 15 Arizona. After Saturday’s loss, Washington coach Steve Sarkisian revealed that Locker had bruised ribs to go along with his injured thigh.
Sarkisian said Monday that Locker does not have fractured ribs and is actually hopeful that Locker will practice more this week than he did leading up to the Arizona game. Locker barely did any game prep before facing the Wildcats.
Locker was 17 of 29 for 183 yards and one touchdown against Arizona. He was sacked four times and ran just twice.
