TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) New Alabama defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt will make $1 million annually under his three-year deal.
The compensation committee of the University of Alabama system trustees approved Pruitt’s contract Tuesday, along with new deals for eight other football assistants.
New defensive backs coach Derrick Ansley will make $395,000 and first-year guards and centers coach Brent Key is making $350,000. Both have two-year deals.
Offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin is the only assistant who didn’t receive a raise. He’s entering the final year of a three-year deal worth $2.074 million, money that is deducted from his buyout at Southern California.
Co-defensive coordinator Tosh Lupoi, strength and conditioning coach Scott Cochran and running backs coach Burton Burns all got six-figure raises.
