Notre Dame had a hard-fought effort, but still came up short in a 23-17 loss at Georgia this past weekend. The Fighting Irish fell to 2-1 on the year in the loss. They are 2-1 against the spread and 2-1 with the under.

The Irish should feel confident in themselves after playing tough at Georgia. They may be a little beat up, but I still think playing at home will give them a boost. The Virginia offense isn’t something I would be afraid of and I think this ND defense is going to really lock down the Cavs. If ND is beat up, I would expect it to be more of a factor on offense. Virginia plays tough defensively as well and can do some things to contain the ND run game. This game should be a tough game for points, as the Irish can’t carry this total on their own.
