Vanderbilt vs. Florida Week 6 Prediction
No. 20 Florida should rebound from its upset loss to Florida last week, but will the Gators cover as a massive favorite versus Vanderbilt on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. ET? Florida is currently a 38-point home favorite.

Vanderbilt Commodores Game Notes
Vanderbilt sophomore QB Ken Seals completed 27-of-40 passes for 240 yards with two touchdowns and an interception in a 30-28 win Saturday over Connecticut. Seals and Vanderbilt were able to move the football against the woeful UConn defense, but needed a game-winning field goal to come up with the win. Both touchdown passes were to Will Sheppard, and the 6-foot-3, 218-pound signal-caller was mostly solid. Tough to get too excited about doing it against UConn, but do it he did. It’s tough to imagine much success for Seals next Saturday against Florida.
Florida Gators Game Notes
Florida redshirt junior QB Emory Jones put up a solid stat line but struggled in key moments as the Kentucky shocked the Gators in a 20-13 upset. Jones completed 23 of 31 passes for 233 yards and a score, and he added 63 yards on 13 carries as the team’s leading rusher. But the Gator offense was marred by penalties, including eight false starts, and stalled out in the red zone as the game hung in the balance. Jones threw an interception in the fourth quarter that accounted for the Gators’ lone turnover and ultimately set up the decisive score, as Kentucky punched it in on a short field to go up 20-10. Jones began to find his footing soon thereafter but it was too little too late, as he was unable to get the Gators into the end zone in the game’s final possession. A 1st-and-Goal from the 5 yard line ended in a desperation heave from the 8 on 4th-and-Goal, as Jones couldn’t connect with Trent Whittemore to likely send the game to overtime. Jones seemed to distance himself from Anthony Richardson with a solid outing two weeks ago against Alabama, but this middling effort should re-ignite the flames of a quarterback controversy in Gainesville.
Vanderbilt vs. Florida Week 6 Betting Prediction
The home team is 4-1 against the spread in the last five meetings between these two teams, but I don’t feel comfortable laying nearly 40 points in a conference game. I feel less comfortable backing Vanderbilt, so let’s look at the total. The over is 12-4 in the last 16 meetings between these two teams and is 4-1 in the last five meetings in Gainesville. The over is also 5-2 in the Commodores’ last seven games following an ATS loss and is 5-2 in the Gators’ last seven games following a loss.
