Vanderbilt Commodores Game Notes
AJ Swann is in line to make another start at quarterback Saturday against Alabama, Aria Gerson of The Tennessean reports. Swann made his first collegiate start during Saturday’s 38-28 victory over Northern Illinois, as he completed 18 of his 28 pass attempts for 255 yards and four touchdowns. He also added 14 yards on three carries. The freshman’s impressive outing has earned himself another nod under center, but adversity is bound to strike for the Commodores on Saturday when the team travels to Tuscaloosa for a clash against Alabama.
Alabama Crimson Tide Game Notes
Bryce Young completed 13-of-18 passes for 236 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions Saturday against ULM, while also rushing for an additional score. Young found little resistance from the Warhawks overall, though did uncharacteristically throw the two interceptions. He has not looked quite as sharp as last year’s Heisman campaign through three starts, though has another chance to work out the kinks against Vandy next weekend,
