Redd will have surgery on his knee, but should be completely healthy for training camp in July, coach Lane Kiffin said Saturday.
Redd hurt his knee during practice Thursday. He watched Saturday’s workout in sweats.
The Penn State transfer was the Trojans’ leading rusher last year with 905 yards and nine touchdowns. He is expected to be USC’s starting tailback again this fall as a senior.
Receiver Marqise Lee and quarterback Max Wittek also skipped Saturday’s workout with mild knee injuries. Both are expected back in practice later this month when the Trojans return from spring break.
