UCLA vs. Oregon Total Prediction
The UCLA Bruins travel to Eugene this weekend when they visit the Oregon Ducks at 7:30 p.m. Et. Even though the number has climbed five full points off the original number, is the under still a sound play for bettors?
Game Snapshot
381 UCLA Bruins at 382 Oregon Ducks

Autzen Stadium, Eugene, Oregon
Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Ducks are 10-point favorites to beat the Bruins. The total, meanwhile, sits at 62 points. As of this writing, 74% of the public betting tickets wagered on this matchup are on the Ducks.
UCLA Bruins
UCLA redshirt senior QB Wilton Speight practiced with the starters on Wednesday. Speight drew the start last Friday against Utah with Dorian Thompson-Robinson injured. Thompson-Robinson returned to practice Tuesday, so it’s interesting that Speight is still practicing with the starters after his brutal showing against the Utes. Perhaps that’s a sign that DTR isn’t fully mended. Chip Kelly is notoriously typed lipped about these types of things, so we’re not expecting clarification over the next 48 hours.
Oregon Ducks
Oregon junior QB Justin Herbert (concussion) arrived at Wednesday’s practice suited up and ready to go. “Looks like tests came back with good news,” wrote Oregon football beat writer Steve Mims. Herbert (6’6/233) entered the concussion protocol following Saturday’s loss against Arizona. If he’s indeed a full-go at practice today, that would be a pretty good indication that he’ll be able to play on Saturday versus UCLA. Stay tuned.
Betting Trends
UCLA
The over is 5-1 in the Bruins’ last six games after accumulating less than 170 yards passing in their previous game.
Oregon
The over is 8-1-2 in the Ducks’ last 11 games after accumulating less than 275 total yards in their previous game.
Prediction
The under is 5-2-2 in the last nine meetings between these two programs and with both quarterbacks banged up, I like the score to stay under on Saturday night, too. The under is also 5-2 in the Bruins’ last seven conference games and 10-3-1 in their last 14 games played in November. On the other side, the under is 5-1 in the Ducks’ last six games versus a team with a losing record, is 5-2 in their last seven games overall and 11-5 in their last 16 Pac-12 matchups.
