Cincinnati on a roll
Cincinnati is riding a four-game win streak right now following a 38-23 win at Houston last weekend. The Bearcats are now 5-1 on the season, 2-0 in the AAC, 5-1 against the spread and 4-2 with the under.
The Bearcats are led by their defense this season, allowing 21.7 points and 339.3 yards per game. Offensively, Cincinnati is putting up 29.3 points and 395 yards per contest. Desmond Ridder has thrown for 1,227 yards and 13 touchdowns to lead the offense while Michael Warren II is the leading rusher with 463 yards and four scores. Alec Pierce has 17 catches for 347 yards and two touchdowns.
Tulsa coming off a loss
The Tulsa Golden Hurricanes are coming off a 45-17 loss at home to Navy last weekend for a second straight loss. Tulsa is now 2-4 on the season, 0-2 in the AAC, 3-3 against the spread and 4-2 with the under.
Tulsa has struggled on offense this year, averaging just 23.3 points and 379.2 yards per contest. Defensively, Tulsa is giving up 32.2 points and 396.2 yards per contest. Zach Smith has thrown or 1,618 yards and 10 touchdowns to lead the offense while Shamari Brooks is the leading rusher with 464 yards and four scores. Keylon Stokes is the team’s leading receiver with 27 catches for 467 yards and four touchdowns.
College Football Betting Trends
Cincinnati
The Bearcats have covered the spread in four straight home games and in six of their last seven against a losing team.
Tulsa
The Golden Hurricanes are 10-2 against the spread in their last 12 road games against a team with a winning home record and 20-9 ATS in their last 29 road games.
Prediction:
These two haven’t met in three years, but the home team has won and covered the spread in the last two encounters. Cincinnati has hit a stride as of late, with the Bearcats finding some offense to go with its solid defense. That should be a problem for Tulsa, which has struggled to find points consistently while also allowing at least 40 points in three of their last four games. The name Tulsa still carries some weight, so I don’t expect a letdown from the Bearcats at home today. Cincinnati is still trying to earn some national respect since its 42-0 loss to Ohio State. I expect a motivated Cincinnati team to continue its momentum.
