Tulane vs. Houston Week 6 Prediction
The Houston Cougars have yet to play a game this season but are listed as favorites of over a touchdown on Thursday night when they host Tulane at 7:30 p.m. ET. Is that too many points to lay with Houston in its first game?

Tulane Green Wave Game Notes
Tulane freshman QB Michael Pratt was named starting quarterback ahead of their game against Houston next Thursday. Pratt (6’2/200) came on in relief of a struggling Keon Howard to lead the Green Wave to a decisive 66-24 victory over Southern Miss last Saturday. In his relief appearance, Pratt completed eight-of-eighteen passes for 142 yards and a 2-0 ratio while rushing seven times for 40 yards and a touchdown on the ground. The three-star true freshman signal caller was rated as the 47th best pro-style quarterback in the 2020 class and made an immediate impression in fall camp practices. Though Howard was given the opening day start, it was clear from early-on that Pratt was Tulane’s next long-term quarterback. He will start under center in a prime time AAC matchup against Houston next Thursday.
Houston Cougars Game Notes
Houston HC Dana Holgorsen expressed frustration over Baylor’s decision to postpone this past Saturday’s contest with the Cougars. “I don’t know how it gets to 22 hours before the game (before postponement)… We had five buses out there, hotels lined up, we’ve got our equipment truck parked [at McLane Stadium],” said a frustrated Holgorsen. This marked the fourth straight scheduled game for Houston which has been postponed or canceled. And Baylor’s reasoning for postponing was somewhat specious. Per FOX Sports’ Joel Klatt, who spoke with Aranda as part of the network’s broadcast crew for the contest, the team was at the minimum threshold of seven offensive lineman for the contest, but because one of those linemen was suspended, they technically couldn’t field the proper number and decided to postpone. The easy solution would have been to simply lift the suspension for one game to meet the minimum for the OL. Baylor AD Mack Rhoades expressed disappointment in what he referred to as Holgorsen’s “chirping,” calling it “not professional.” Which is pretty rich given the clear lack of communication from the Baylor side on this one.
