TCU junior QB Max Duggan (undisclosed) is considered questionable for Saturday’s game against Oklahoma. Duggan (6’2/201) went 8-of-10 for 104 yards and a touchdown in TCU’s 52-31 win over Texas Tech, and also added six rushes for 43 yards for good measure. Duggan really didn’t need to do much as his two running backs combined for 328 yards and five touchdowns, with TCU opening up a commanding lead early. No other quarterback took a snap in the game, so it was somewhat of a surprise to see Duggan tagged with the questionable designation ahead of Saturday’s game against OU.
Oklahoma Sooners Game Notes
Oklahoma head coach Lincoln Riley will not reveal who is starting quarterback back till the Saturday matchup against TCU. Riley has been quiet all week about any question concerning who his starting quarterback will be this Saturday. Riley replace redshirt sophomore Spencer Rattler last Saturday with freshman Caleb Williams, who led the Sooners to a 55-48 comeback win against Texas. The question will be if he wants to give the veteran quarterback, who coming into the season was a high prospect going into the NFL draft in Rattler a second chance, or go with the hot hand young freshman in Williams. We probably won’t know the answer till kickoff on Saturday.
TCU vs. Oklahoma Week 7 Betting Prediction
The Horned Frogs are just 1-5 against the spread in their last six games versus the Sooners, while the favorite has cashed in five of the last six meetings. TCU is also just 2-5 against the spread in its last seven games as a road underdog, is 6-14 against the number in its last 20 games played in the month of October and is 1-3-1 ATS in its last five games overall. The Sooners, meanwhile, are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games played in October and are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 conference games.
