Trevone Boykin 2015 Heisman Odds

FORT WORTH, TX (The Spread) – The quarterback with the best odds to win the 2015 Heisman Trophy is none other than TCU signal-caller Trevone Boykin.

After throwing for 3,714 yards and 30 touchdowns while adding 642 rushing yards and eight scores on the ground, Boykin is 7/1 to win the Heisman Trophy this year according to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv.  The 6-foot-2 quarterback is so athletic he became the first player in TCU history to post a 100-yard rushing game, a 100-yard receiving game and a 200-yard passing game in the same season.

Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott (6/1) is the only other player to have better odds to win the Heisman than Boykin. The Horned Frogs are also 10/1 to win the 2016 College Football FBS Championship so clearly oddsmakers believe Boykin will have TCU back in the playoff mix this season. With only a 61-58 loss to Baylor on its 2014 resume, TCU was left out of the top 4 a year ago.

There’s no reason to believe Boykin won’t post more eye-popping numbers in 2015 and remain in the Heisman mix all season.
