South Florida Bulls Game Notes
USF HC Jeff Scott says the team will play multiple QBs on Saturday against Cincinnati. The starting quarterback heading into the year was Jordan McCloud. McCloud has been benched a couple of times now, though, and Noah Johnson and Katravis Marsh have each thrown a handful of passes in his place. Scott also specifically mentioned Cade Fortin, who is a redshirt sophomore transfer from North Carolina. It is unlikely all four QBs play on Saturday, and we do not yet know the order in which they will play, but expect some sort of QB rotation for the Bulls on Saturday.
Cincinnati Bearcats Game Notes
Cincinnati redshirt junior QB Desmond Ridder completed 18-of-33 passes for 258 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in Saturday’s 24-10 win over Army. Nothing too spicy in this one, but Ridder and crew did what they needed to do to come away with a workmanlike victory on Saturday. The 6-foot-4, 215-pound redshirt junior hooked up with Michael Young on a 12-yard touchdown toss midway through the second quarter and pumped his stats with a 60-yard touchdown to Gerrid Doaks in the fourth quarter. The latter scored more/less iced the win. Cincinnati is scheduled to take on South Florida — USF’s COVID-19 issues notwithstanding — next weekend.
