Cronkrite compiling strong campaign
After 302 rushing yards and three touchdowns in a victory last week at UMass, South Florida running back Jordan Cronkrite now has 69 carries on the season for 606 yards and five touchdowns. Quiarterback Blake Barnett is 97-of-149 through the air for 1,308 yards with nine TDs and four INTs. He has also rushed for 125 yards and four scores. Randall St. Felix has 21 receptions for 351 yards and a touchdown. Tyre McCants has made 26 catches for 295 yards and two touchdowns. Darnell Solomon has 13 receptions for 288 yards and four scores. Mitchell Wilcox has added 17 receptions for 217 yards and a TD.
Taylor II coming off big game
Golden Hurricane running back Corey Taylor II had 152 rushing yards and a touchdown in the loss at Houston last week. He has 92 carries for 411 yards and a TD on the season. Shamari Brooks has 92 rushes for 375 yards and four scores. Quarterback Luke Skipper has completed 68-of-116 passes for 716 yards with four touchdowns and six interceptions. Keenen Johnson leads the receiving corps with 18 catches for 271 yards and two TDs. Justin Hobbs has 19 receptions for 256 yards and a touchdown.
College Football Betting Trends
The over is 5-0 in the last five Bulls games on Fridays. South Florida is 8-1 ATS after allowing 40 or more points in its previous game.
The Golden Hurricane are 0-4 ATS in their last four home games. Tulsa is 0-5 ATS in its last five games following an ATS win.
The bread-and-butter for the Golden Hurricane is establishing the run game and South Florida is only 113th nationally against the run. I think the Golden Hurricane gets the run game going with Taylor and Brooks, then finishes stronger than they did last game when they faltered in the fourth quarter. Go with the hosts today to keep it within a touchdown and perhaps even win outright.
