Penn State head coach James Franklin recently switched agents, hiring Jimmy Sexton, one of the biggest agents in football. While this might not mean anything, where there’s smoke there’s fire. It’s not often you need to switch agents unless you think a move and a new contract will be needed, and with Penn State’s season effectively over after their loss to Illinois, it might be prime time for Franklin to finally jump ship as he’s been projected to do for so many years. Ohio State freshman QB CJ Stroud was added to the Maxwell Award watch list on Wednesday. Stroud (6’3″/215) has wowed both fans and awards voters this season, having been named Big Ten Freshman of the Week five times thus far. He was also named to the Davey O’Brien QB Class of 2021 on Tuesday, which gives fans the opportunity to vote for Stroud for the Davey O’brien Award. Stroud was one of four Buckeyes named to the Maxwell Award watchlist, which is presented annually to the best all-0around college football player in the United States. On the year, Stroud has thrown for 1,965 yards, 22 touchdowns and three interceptions and has a grade of 91.8 on Pro Football Focus.
