Ole Miss redshirt junior QB Matt Corral released a statement talking about his last game at The Vaught this Saturday against Vanderbilt. While he didn’t say it directly, Corral (6’1″/205) all but declared for the NFL Draft on Friday night. He released a statement on his Twitter account where he spoke about his last game this Saturday against Vanderbilt at The Vaught, also known as Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. Corral thanked his teammates, his coaches, and spoke on how much the team and Rebel Nation meant to him. An official declaration should come after the season, possibly as soon as the Egg Bowl is finished on Thursday night.
Mississippi State Bulldogs Game Notes
Mississippi State sophomore QB Will Rogers has been named Manning Award Quarterback of the Week. Rogers (6’2/210) has been lighting it up as of late, making his way to the near outskirts of the Heisman Trophy conversation. Rogers put on a standout performance in the second half of his team’s 43-34 victory over Auburn, finishing out the game 44-of-55 passing for 415 yards with six touchdowns and zero interceptions. Shortly after, he was named a Manning Star of the Week, later named Manning Quarterback of the Week.
