Oklahoma Sooners Game Notes
Oklahoma freshman QB Caleb Williams has been perfect when targeting wide receiver Marvin Mims. Williams (6’1/218) has been efficient since taking over Spencer Rattler’s position and has already put together some impressive chemistry with his wideouts, namely WR Marvin Mims. Williams has a perfect passer rating since targeting Mims since becoming the team’s starting quarterback.
Baylor Bears Game Notes
Baylor junior QB Gerry Bohanon completed 14-of-20 passes for 215 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions in Saturday’s 30-28 loss to TCU. As a team, Baylor wasn’t sharp today. Bohanon was no exception. He kept the ball out of harm’s way early, but that was mostly because of a risk-averse aerial strategy. But with the game hanging in the balance, two of Baylor’s final three drives ended in an interception. Things came to a head with a minute and change left in the game and Baylor trailing by two points. Bohanon locked onto intended target TE Ben Sims from the snap and was picked off by TCU’s Shadrach Banks, ending the game. Baylor falls to 7-2 after getting upset. Next week, 9-0 Oklahoma comes to Waco.
