Baylor find a way to win
Baylor kept its unbeaten season alive last weekend with a 29-23 OT win at TCU. The Bears are now 9-0 on the year, 6-0 in the Big 12, 5-4 against the spread and 5-4 with the over.
The Bears are pretty sound on both sides of the ball. The defense is allowing just 19 points and 337.4 yards per game. Offensively, Baylor is averaging 35.3 points and 459.6 yards per contest. Charlie Brewer is leading the team with 2,338 passing yards and 16 touchdowns. He also has rushed for 211 yards and seven scores. John Lovett is the leading rusher with 532 yards and four scores while Denzel Mims is the leading receiver with 44 catches and 675 yards and eight touchdowns.
Oklahoma gets another scare
After suffering a 48-41 loss at Kansas State three weeks ago, Oklahoma survived a scare this past weekend from Iowa State, picking up a 42-41 victory at home. The Sooners are now 8-1 on the season, 5-1 in the Big 12, 4-5 against the spread and 5-3-1 with the over.
Oklahoma has one of the top offenses in the nation, averaging 48.4 points and 587.3 yards per game. Defensively, the Sooners are giving up 25 points and 355.1 yards per contest. Jalen Hurts is leading the team with 2,742 passing yards and 24 touchdowns while also rushing for 869 yards and 15 scores. Kennedy Brooks is the leading running back with 515 yards and three scores. CeeDee Lamb is the leading receiver with 44 catches for 983 yards and 13 scores.
College Football Betting Trends
Baylor
The Bears are 6-1 against the spread in their last seven against a winning team, but just 4-10 ATS in their last 14 home games.
Oklahoma
The Sooners are 1-4 against the spread in their last five conference games and 4-9-1 ATS in their last 14 road games.
Prediction:
Oklahoma has won and covered the spread in four straight meetings with Baylor, but the Sooners don’t seem to be dialed in on defense right now. They have allowed 89 points in their last two games against two teams that aren’t the most explosive offenses in the nation. Baylor has the capability to score, which should allow them to keep pace with Oklahoma. The Sooners are capable of scoring on anyone, so Baylor will need a lot of points to win or cover. I think they can get them. Oklahoma is regressing right now.
