Northern Illinois freshman RB Jevyon Ducker rushed 29 times for 146 yards in Saturday’s 41-23 win over Kent State. Ducker (5’10/185) led the Huskies all day in this one, as he averaged 5.0 yards per carry on the evening, keeping the chains moving for NIU in a game where they dominated time of possession. Ducker’s long run of the day came on a 24-yard carry came early in the fourth quarter, and eventually setup a five-yard touchdown run by quarterback Rocky Lombardi. Ducker has now rushed 194 times for 1,038 yards and three touchdowns, as he and the Huskies wait to see how they will face in bowl season.
Coastal Carolina Chanticleers Game Notes
Coastal Carolina redshirt sophomore QB Grayson McCall is the highest graded group of five quarterback per PFF over the last two seasons. Add this to the list of accomplishments for McCall (6’3/210). After finishing the season as the quarterback with the highest passer rating in NCAA history, McCall also owns the highest PFF grade for any quarterback in the group of five. His overall grade of 93.3 is reflective of his superb performance this season. He threw for 2,558 yards and 23 touchdowns at a remarkable 73% completion percentage and 12.1 yards per attempt. His level of explosiveness and efficiency is exemplified by his talent and ability to read the defense within the offensive system.
