Michigan State Spartans Game Notes
Head coach Mel Tucker says Michigan State was a destination job as he and the school are nearing a 10-year, $95 million extension. The Tucker destination seems to be as green as the Spartan colors when he will likely become the second-highest-paid football coach behind Alabama and former MSU head coach Nick Saban. Tucker revealed on The Draymond Green Show that MSU was always the destination and he never wanted to “just pass through.” Tucker started his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Michigan State for then-coach Nick Saban. He has Michigan State at 9-1 in his second season as head coach and there were rumors swirling that his name was mentioned as a potential candidate for the coaching vacancy at LSU. This very well makes sense the school wanted to secure Tucker’s tenure in East Lansing. MSU has a big game this week against Ohio State.
Ohio State Buckeyes Game Notes
Ohio State RB Master Teague (undisclosed) is considered day-to-day for Saturday’s game at Michigan State. Teague (5’11/226) was originally hurt on October 9 against Maryland when he rushed four times for 31 yards and a touchdown before succumbing to injury. He returned against Nebraska on November 6, rushing twice for eight yards before going down again and missing last week’s contest against Purdue. The redshirt sophomore has carried 46 times for 260 yards, 5.7 yards per tote and three touchdowns while earning a respectable 78.2 rushing grade according to PFF. He is up on the air to play this Saturday against Michigan State.
Ohio State vs. Minnesota Betting Prediction
The under is a perfect 5-0 in the last five meetings between these two teams in Columbus and has cashed in five of the last six meetings overall. The under is also 16-6 in the Spartans’ last 22 games after accumulating more than 280 yards passing in their previous game and despite the over cashing routinely in Buckeyes games this season, MSU knows it’ll need to play more ball control in order to hang today.
