Jalen Green (hamstring) was able to complete shooting drills Tuesday, but the Rockets have yet to provide an updated timeline for the rookie to return to game action, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports. The shooting drills marked Green’s most extensive on-court activity since he strained his left hamstring Nov. 24, but he still has several more checkpoints to hit in his recovery before he’ll be deemed ready to play again. Green looks safe to rule out for the Rockets’ upcoming Friday/Saturday back-to-back set against the Bucks and Grizzlies, respectively, and he’ll likely need to upgrade to full participation in practice in the next few days to have a shot at playing at any point next week.

Jaden Shackelford posted 28 points (10-16 FG, 6-8 3Pt, 2-3 FT), nine rebounds and two assists across 38 minutes during Saturday’s 91-82 win over Gonzaga. Shackelford tied a career high during the Tide’s upset victory over the Zags, as the guard dominated across all aspects of the floor while also nearly finishing with a double-double with nine rebounds. The junior is currently off to a fabulous start to the season averaging 19.3 points and 6.8 rebounds across the first eight matchups this year.
