Georgia Bulldogs Game Notes
Georgia redshirt junior QB JT Daniels (back) should travel with the team to Auburn, but is unlikely to play. This was reported by Brooks Austin of SI.com, who said that Daniels (6’3/210), won’t only travel with the team, but will likely also dress for the game. He just won’t be starting. Daniels may be called upon to relieve quarterback Stetson Bennett if things against Auburn go unexpectedly awry, but we shouldn’t expect to see Daniels in this one.
Auburn Tigers Game Notes
Auburn sophomore QB Bo Nix completed 23 passes for 255 yards and one touchdown in Saturday’s 24-19 win over LSU. It was a big game for Nix (6’3/214) and Auburn, who pulled off the upset over LSU in Death Valley. It was an interesting start to this one, as Nix was named the starter, pulled for a drive in the second quarter in favor of T.J. Finley, and then returned to throw a circus touchdown pass to tight end Tyler Fromm in the second quarter. Nix had a handful of magical moments in this one, as he looks mostly sharp throughout, and turned in big plays when Auburn needed them. Now sitting at 4-1, Auburn will prepare for another tough matchup when it hosts Georgia in Week 7.
