Georgia Bulldogs Game Notes
Georgia head coach Kirby Smart said that everyone traveled to Indianapolis and the team has no COVID issues. After going the last 41 years without a national championship, this is a welcome piece of news for the Bulldogs. They were ravaged earlier in December with COVID issues, including QB JT Daniels and WR George Pickens having dealt with the virus between the SEC Championship Game and the Orange Bowl. The Bulldogs will need all hands on deck as they prepare to face the Crimson Tide on Monday.
Alabama Crimson Tide Game Notes
Alabama redshirt freshman QB Bryce Young was competent in Friday’s Cotton Bowl victory. Young (6’0″/194) didn’t put up the numbers we’re used to seeing but did take care of business in the Cotton Bowl on Friday. He recorded the lowest passing yardage total we’ve seen out of him in a long time, completing 17-of-28 passes for 181 yards with three touchdowns and one interception on a night in which the Alabama rushing offense came alive in an unexpected way.
Georgia vs. Alabama Betting Prediction
The underdog is 7-1 against the spread in the last eight meetings between these two teams, while the Bulldogs have failed to cover in all four of their last four games following an ATS win. On the other side, the Crimson Tide have covered in five of their last six games as an underdog, are 10-4 against the number in their last 14 games after allowing less than 20 points in their previous game and are 4-1 ATS in their last five games after accumulating more than 450 total yards in their previous game.
