Florida vs. Vanderbilt Prediction
Florida is likely to improve to 6-1 on the 2020 season when it visits Vanderbilt at 12:00 p.m. ET on Saturday. That said, the Gators are 31.5-point road favorites. Is that too many to lay with UF or will the Gators roll against the winless Commodores?

Florida Gators Game Notes
Florida redshirt senior QB Kyle Trask accepted an invitation to the Senior Bowl. Smart thinking. Trask has surged up draft boards with an enormous 2020 season, throwing for 2,171 yards and a 28/3 TD/INT rate on 70.1% completions. If you accept that Trevor Lawrence, Justin Fields, Trey Lance and Zach Wilson are the top-tier of quarterback prospects, Trask is in a fight with a group that includes Mac Jones, Kellen Mond, Jamie Newman and Sam Ehlinger to emerge at the top of tier-2. ESPN’s Mel Kiper and The Athletic’s Dane Brugler both currently rank Trask as the No. 6 quarterback in the 2021 NFL Draft, just behind Jones. Jones was listed No. 50 on Brugler’s updated top-50, so it’s safe to say that Brugler sees Trask as a top-60 overall prospect.
Vanderbilt Commodores Game Notes
Vanderbilt senior DE Dayo Odeyingbo has accepted an invite to the 2021 Reese’s Senior Bowl. The Vandy program does not have a whole lot to look forward to right now, but at least they will be sending a player to the Senior Bowl. Odeyingbo is a huge 6-foot-6, 280-pound defense end. His long, well-built frame makes him a perfect candidate as a strong-side defensive end who may be able to even kick inside on passing downs. So far in 2020, he has already reached his career-high 3.5 sacks. Odeyingbo is more of a run defender, though, as evidenced by his frame and 17 tackles for loss over the past two seasons. Odeyingbo is considered a UDFA right now, but a good showing down in Mobile could change things.
Florida vs. Vanderbilt Betting Prediction
I’m not touching this spread. The total, however, is appealing. The over cashed in 12 of the last 15 meetings between these two teams and is 6-1 in the last seven series meetings in Vanderbilt. The over is also 7-1 in the Gators’ last eight games overall, is 6-1 in their last seven games as a favorite and is a perfect 6-0 in their last six games coming off a win. On the other side, the over is also 12-2 in the Commodores’ last 14 home games versus a team with a winning road record.
