Florida Gators Game Notes
Florida redshirt freshman QB Anthony Richardson (hamstring) missed last Saturday’s tilt against Alabama, but appears to be on track for Week 4’s matchup against Tennessee according to Terry A. Lambert of RockyTopTalk.com. Richardson (6’4/236) has been electric for the Gators this season. He’s completed just 5-of-10 passes for 152 yards and two touchdowns, and has nine carries for 275 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Richardson is a human highlight reel, whose early season performance has left some crying for him to be the starter. While Richardson doesn’t appear to be on the path to a starting role just yet, Dan Mullen does like to get him involved whenever he is healthy, meaning he should see snaps against Tennessee if he is active.
Kentucky Wildcats Game Notes
Kentucky junior quarterback Will Levis completed 15-of-22 passes for 102 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in Saturday’s 16-10 win over South Carolina. In what wound up being one of the lowest scoring games on the weekend, Levis (6’3/222) did his part in helping Kentucky hold on for the win but didn’t do much else. His long pass on the day came on a 17-yard pass to wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson, but the Wildcats leaned largely on the running game to win this one. now at 4-0 on the season, Kentucky will brace for its biggest test thus far when they host Florida in Week 5.
