California vs. Oregon Odds
(The Spread) – The Pac-12 will be on display tonight when No. 9 Oregon hosts California at 9:00PM ET on ESPN.
Oddsmakers have installed the 3-1 Ducks as 23.5-point favorites in this game, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 65.5 points. It’s somewhat noteworthy that the line at the Las Vegas Hilton is actually up to 24 points after opening at 23.5. Chances are the public will ride Oregon tonight and push the spread back up to 24 at most books.
Speaking of the public, of the 16,000-plus wagers on tonight’s game 64% of college football bettors currently favor Oregon –23.5. This isn’t surprising given how powerful the Duck offense is, especially at home. With the public on Oregon, don’t expect the line to drop any further than it has so if you like the Ducks now is your time to hop on them.

The trends favor the under in this matchup, as the combined score has fallen under the total in the last five meetings between these two teams in Oregon. The under is also 4-0 in the last four meetings overall while the home team is 5-1 against the spread in the last six meetings. That said, the Golden Bears are 4-1 against the number in their last five games against the Ducks.
Oregon currently leads the nation with only one sack allowed through four games while Cal’s defense is ninth nationally with 3.25 sacks per game. Running back LaMichael James rushed for 91 yards on 29 carries with no touchdowns the last time these two teams hooked up (a 15-13 road win for the Ducks back in November of last year).
Kickoff for tonight’s game is set for 9:00PM ET and will be shown on ESPN.
