Bet College Football Week 9 Games
This is the 94th all-time meeting between the Gators and Bulldogs, with all but 10 of those games played in Jacksonville for the “World’s Largest Cocktail Party.” Florida has won the last two meetings after a three-game win streak by Georgia, which has now lost four of its last five games against AP-Top 15 opponents (including each of the last three games). The last win the Bulldogs had against an AP Top-15 foe came in 2014 when they beat No. 9 Auburn.
Florida, meanwhile, has won 16 consecutive games against unranked opponents, which is the third-longest active streak in the FBS behind Alabama (63) and Clemson (45). The Gators also control their own fate in the SEC East because they’re the only team in the division with fewer than two conference losses. Florida still has to go to Arkansas, LSU and Florida State, however, which is a tough remaining schedule.

OUR PREDICTION: Florida is allowing just 252.5 yards per game this season, which is the second-fest in the FBS behind Michigan (207.0). Georgia’s offense averages 402.9 yards per game on offense, which is ninth in the SEC. A few weeks ago the Gators made Missouri sophomore quarterback Drew Lock look like he should be playing intramurals instead of FBS football, holding the signal-caller to just 4-of-18 passing for 39 yards and two pick-sixes. Freshman Jacob Eason is improving for UGA, but this is going to be a tough test. The Gators should produce a couple of turnovers to make a run in the second half a pull away.
