Kansas vs. Texas Tech Prediction
Will Kansas and Texas Tech score enough points to push the total over tonight when the Big-12 teams clash at 8:30PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, Texas Tech is a 28.5-point home favorite versus Kansas after opening as a 28-point favorite. As for the total, the number opened at 80 and that’s where it currently sits.
KANSAS: The Jayhawks are 1-4 against the spread in their last five games overall, are 1-5 against the number in their last six conference games and are 1-7 ATS in their last eight games following a bye week. They’re also 9-27-1 at the betting window in their last 37 road games and are 3-10-1 ATS in their last 14 games in September.
TEXAS TECH: The Red Raiders have covered in four of their last five games on Thursday and are 5-1 ATS in their last six games versus a team with a losing record. They’re also 5-2 at the betting window in their last seven games overall and are 6-1-1 against the spread in their last eight games in September.
OUR PREDICTION: The over is 20-7 in Texas Tech’s last 27 home games and 43-21 in their last 64 games overall. The problem is that the under is 14-4 in the Jayhawks’ last 18 road games, is 11-5 in their last 16 games in September and 23-9 in their last 32 games following an ATS loss. Kansas scored just 7 points at Memphis last week and 21 points versus Ohio in Week 2. The Jayhawks won’t score enough to contribute to the over cashing tonight.
