Wake Forest vs. Indiana Prediction
Can Indiana possibly hit such a low total like 44.5 points when it hosts Wake Forest today at 3:30PM ET?
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Indiana is favored at home in this game, as the Hoosiers are getting odds of -7.5 points against Wake Forest. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 44.5 points. These two last met at Wake Forest, with Indiana Predictioning up a 31-24 win. The two pushed the 55-point total.
Bet on Wake Forest vs. Indiana
Indiana is set to close out non-conference play after a week off from a 30-20 win over Ball State back on Sept. 10. The Hoosiers also own a 34-13 win over FIU to be 2-0 on the season. They have hit the under in both games this season, but that is due to the defense being a little tougher than usual. While Indiana is averaging 32 points and 469 yards on offense, the defense is giving up just 16.5 points and 351 yards per game. This year’s team has another strong back in Devine Redding, who has rushed for 245 yards. Richard Lagow is handling the offense nicely at QB, throwing for 506 yards and four touchdowns.
Wake Forest is off to a somewhat surprising 3-0 start following a 38-21 win over Delaware last week. The Demon Deacons are just 1-2 against the spread right now and are 2-1 with the under thus far. Like Indiana, Wake has been led by defense mostly. The Deacons are holding opponents to just 12.7 points and 247.7 yards per game, including only 80 rushing yards. The problem for Wake is it is putting up just 23 points and 348.3 yards per game on offense. Matt Colburn is leading the offense with 195 rushing yards while John Wolford has thrown for 251 yards in place of the injured Kendall Hinton.

Indiana is a team that knows how to move the football. The Hoosiers have scored at least 30 points in five straight games overall and in six straight in the month of September. However, Indiana is doing a much better job on defense than it has in the past. Typically the Hoosiers have to win in an absolute shootout. That’s not been the case this season. That is evident by the total being set at just 44.5 points. Wake Forest can’t really do much on offense and will likely struggle with a backup QB on the road and the Demon Deacons defense should be ready to get some stops on Redding and the Indiana offense. It’s scary, but I like the under here.
