Oregon came into the season with somewhat low expectations, but the Ducks are off to a 3-0 start with wins over Southern Utah, Nebraska and Wyoming while going 2-1 with the over. Oregon is putting up its usual crazy offensive numbers, averaging 56 points and 609 yards per game. Quarterback Justin Herbert has thrown for 897 yards and five touchdowns to lead the offense while Royce Freeman has added 460 rushing yards and nine touchdowns. The Ducks’ defense is giving up 23 points and 303 yards per game through three contests.
Arizona State is off to a shaky 1-2 start with losses to San Diego State and Texas Tech. The Sun Devils have hit the under in two of their three games despite averaging 34 points and allowing 37.7 points per game. The defense has really struggled, allowing 505.3 total yards and 338 passing yards per game this season. On offense, ASU is putting up 412 yards per game thanks to its passing attack. Manny Wilkins has thrown for 924 yards and seven touchdowns to lead the team while N’Keal Harry has 24 catches for 266 yards. The leading rusher is Kalen Ballage, who has 179 yards and four touchdowns.
Bet on Oregon vs. Arizona State
The total is quite high here, as to be expected in an Oregon game. However, I don’t see Arizona State having the firepower to make the over happen. The Sun Devils aren’t looking like the usual offense, but their defense may be able to put up enough of a fight to keep Oregon from scoring on every possession. The Ducks should put up a lot of points, but hitting 76 points requires few punts or turnovers. I don’t see that happening on Saturday.
