ODDSMAKERS LIKE: Utah. According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Utes are 6.5-point favorites to beat the Mountaineers, who opened as 4.5-point underdogs. The total, meanwhile, currently sits at 56 points after hitting the board at 54.

THE PUBLIC LIKES: As of Tuesday morning, 52% of the betting tickets were on the Mountaineers to cover the spread but 60% of the money is on the Utes.
INJURY REPORT: Kylie Fitts (undisclosed) is probable for today’s game while quarterback Tyler Huntley (undisclosed) is also probable. Defensive back Jaylon Johnson, however, is out for Utah with an undisclosed injury.
On the other side, running back Justin Crawford is out and quarterback Will Grier (finger) is doubtful to play today for the Mountaineers.
WHO WE LIKE: Utah. With Grier out for the Mountaineers it could be a long day for Dana Holgorsen’s offense. Grier was the nation’s seventh-ranked passer in terms of efficiency and collected 3,490 yards with 34 touchdown passes. But he broke the middle finger on his throwing hand in the first quarter of West Virginia’s loss to Texas on November 18th and it doesn’t sound as if he’ll play.
Meanwhile, the Utes should have their dual-threat quarterback Huntley under center. The Utes are 9-3 against the spread in their last 12 bowl games, are 8-3-1 at the betting window in their last 12 games overall, and have covered the number in seven of their last 10 games played in the month of December. The Mountaineers, meanwhile, are 0-4 against the spread in their last four bowl games, are 0-5 against the number in their last five games played in December, and are 1-4-1 against the spread in their last six games overall.
