LOS ANGELES, CA (TheSpread) – The UCLA Bruins are looking to get back to the Pac-12 Championship Game this season and pick up double digit wins. Do oddsmakers think they can do it?

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the over/under win total odds for the Bruins has been set at 9.5 this season. The over has odds of -130, while the under has a money line of +100.
UCLA is coming off a 10-3 season last year with a 6-3 record in Pac-12 play. Jim Mora is entering his third year as coach of the Bruins after going 19-8 in his first two seasons. UCLA ended its 2013 campaign with wins over USC and Virginia Tech to build some momentum for 2014.
On offense, UCLA should be strong. The Bruins averaged 36.9 points and 448.5 yards per game in 2013. Seven starters are back on offense, led by quarterback Brett Hundley. Hundley is entering his junior year after throwing for 3,071 yards and 24 touchdowns last season. He is also a big running threat, as he rushed for 748 yards and 11 scores a year ago. Hundley will be breaking in a new running back and receivers, but the Bruins have four starters back on the offensive line to keep him healthy.
On defense, UCLA needs to improve after allowing 23.2 points and 387.1 yards per game. The run defense really struggled, giving up 169.5 yards per game on the ground. Four starters are back on the front seven, including linebacker Eric Kendricks, who had 106 tackles in 2013. In the secondary, the Bruins bring back three starters from a group that allowed 217.6 yards per game through the air.
Bet on College Football Futures Odds
UCLA starts the season on the road against Virginia and then hosts Memphis before meeting Texas on Sept. 13 in Arlington. Pac-12 play features road games at Arizona State, Cal, Colorado and Washington. UCLA will host the toughest teams like Oregon, USC, Arizona and Stanford, but it will still be a challenge to win those games. The schedule doesn’t shape up too nicely for the Bruins. The game with Texas is essentially a road game and they begin conference play at ASU, which could put them in a 2-2 hole. Getting to 10 wins won’t be easy for UCLA.
