Cincinnati Bearcats Game Notes
Cincinnati redshirt sophomore RB Jerome Ford (ankle) is present at practice on Tuesday after being injured Saturday against Tulsa. Ford (5’11/215) was helped off the field Saturday before being evaluated in the team’s injury tent and did not return in the second half. Head coach Luke Fickell said after the game that Ford’s status was “iffy at halftime” but that the team wasn’t confident in running him back out on the field. Though he’s present in practice, it is not known just how much Ford will be able to participate. This is a situation worth monitoring as the week progresses, with UC taking on AAC foe USF this Friday.
South Florida Bulls Game Notes
USF redshirt sophomore QB Jarren Williams has entered the transfer portal. Williams (6’3″/209) hasn’t been seen with the team since October 23rd, and seems to be officially on his way out now. Williams, a former four-star recruit, was a JUCO transfer, but was originally with Miami (FL). Williams lost out to Cade Fortin for the starting QB job, and eventually slid all the way down to 4th on the depth chart by season’s start. Williams will now look to finish his career elsewhere.
