Cincy keeps winning
Cincinnati is riding a nine-game winning streak right now following a 15-13 win at home over Temple this past weekend. The Bearcats have already punched their ticket to the AAC title game next week against either Memphis or Navy. The Bearcats are 10-1 on the year, 7-0 in the AAC, 6-5 against the spread and 8-3 with the under.
The Bearcats have been led by their defense for the most part, allowing just 19.9 points and 365.2 yards per game. Darrick Forrest is leading the defense with 84 tackles and three interceptions. Offensively, Cincinnati is putting up 29.9 points and 376.7 yards per contest. Desmond Ridder is leading the offense with 1,836 passing yards and 17 touchdowns while also rushing for 432 yards and a score. Michael Warren is leading the ground game with 939 yards and 11 touchdowns. Josiah Deguara is the top receiver with 30 catches for 424 yards and seven touchdowns.
Memphis staying hot
The Memphis Tigers remain hot following a 49-10 win at USF last weekend. Memphis has won five straight coming into this week and they need a win to secure a spot against Cincinnati in next week’s AAC title game. A loss and a Navy win puts the Midshipmen in the game. Memphis is 10-1 on the season, 6-1 in the AAC, 8-3 against the spread and 8-3 with the over.
The Tigers have a prolific offense, averaging 42.2 points and 488.2 yards per game, which ranks top 10 nationally. Defensively, Memphis is giving up 24.5 points and 361.7 yards per game. Brady White has thrown for 3,074 yards and 30 touchdowns this year to lead the offense while Kenneth Gainwell has rushed for 1,294 yards and 12 scores. Damonte Coxier is the leading receiver with 53 catches for 834 yards and eight touchdowns.
College Football Betting Trends
Cincinnati
The Bearcats are 8-2 with the under in their last 10 games following a failed cover and 11-3 with the under in their last 14 games after scoring less than 20 points in their previous game.
Memphis
Memphis has hit the over in eight of its last nine conference games and in seven of its last nine in November.
Prediction:
These two have hit the under in two of their last three meetings, but the over in their last two encounters at Memphis. This game is the classic power offense vs. power defense, but I think Memphis has the edge in that battle. The Bearcats have struggled at times on offense, especially on the road. They gave up 42 at Ohio State and 43 at ECU. I think they will struggle to stop a Memphis offense that has scored at least 42 points in five straight games. I also expect Cincinnati to find some offensive success, as the Tigers aren’t a lockdown defense either. The Bearcats should see an uptick in production to help the over hit.
College Football Week 14 Prediction: Cincinnati/Memphis Over 57.5
