Boise State 2015 Odds
BOISE, ID (TheSpread) – Now in his second season as head coach, will Bryan Harsin be able to lead Boise State to an appearance in the College Football Playoffs?
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Boise State is currently listed at +25000 to win the 2015 College Football Playoffs.
The Broncos are coming off a 12-2 season under Harsin, while going 7-1 in the Mountain West Conference and finishing first in the conference. The Broncos also went on to pick up a 38-30 win over Arizona in the Fiesta Bowl. Boise State has a current streak of 13 consecutive seasons where they have played in a bowl games. The lone losses in the 2014 season came at the hands of Ole Miss (35-13) and Air Force (28-14), but the Broncos closed the year on a 9-game winning streak.
Boise State was ninth in the country last year in scoring offense, posting 39.7 points per game while amassing 494.3 yards per game. The defense allowed 26.8 points per game. Despite that, Boise State has some big questions, as it has to replace starting quarterback Grant Hedrick (3,696 yards, 23 TDs) and running back Jay Ajayi (1,823 yards, 28 TDs). The team will turn to receiver Thomas Sperbeck, who caught 51 passes for 877 yards last season, to be the leader on offense in 2015.
Boise State opens the game at home against Washington, which is coached by former longtime Boise State coach, Chris Petersen. The Broncos then take on BYU and Virginia on the road in other key non-conference games.
