A&M rolls Monroe
The Texas A&M Aggies bounced back from a loss at Clemson two weeks ago by dominating Louisiana-Monroe last weekend, 62-3. A&M is 2-1 overall, 3-0 against the spread and 2-1 with the under.
The Aggies have been great on both sides of the ball, as the defense is giving up just 11.3 points and 268.3 yards per contest. Offensively, A&M is averaging 37.7 points and 466.7 yards per game. Quarterback Kellen Mond is leading the team with 747 yards and five touchdowns, but also has three interceptions. Isaiah Spiller is the leading rusher with 246 yards and two scores, but the team did lose running back Jashaun Corbin for the year with a hamstring injury. He had 137 yards on 35 carries. Jhamon Ausbon is the leading receiver with 17 catches for 253 yards and two touchdowns. Roney Elam has been leading the defense with eight tackles, two interceptions and one sack.
Auburn looking for 4-0 start
Auburn is off to a really strong start in 2019. The Tigers moved to 3-0 last weekend with a 55-16 win over Kent State at home. Auburn is also 3-0 against the spread while going 2-1 with the under.
The Tigers have looked great defensively this year, allowing just 14.3 points and 292 yards per game. Offensively, Auburn is putting up 35.3 points and 465 yards per game. Auburn is being led by JaTarvious Whitlow, who has rushed for 341 yards and three touchdowns. Freshman QB Bo Nix has thrown for 545 yards and four touchdowns while rushing for 79 yards. Eli Stove is the leading receiver with 16 catches for 133 yards and two touchdowns. The Auburn defense is being led by Marlon Davidson, who has 15 tackles with 2.5 sacks.
College Football Betting Trends
Texas A&M
The Aggies are 6-1 ATS in their last seven home games and 7-0 ATS in their last seven games after allowing less than 20 points in their previous game.
Auburn
The Tigers are 3-7 against the spread in their last 10 games following a win and 3-8 ATS in their last 11 against a winning team.
Prediction:
The road team has actually won six of the last seven in this series and Auburn has covered in three of the last four meetings. A&M almost got the win on the road last year, but lost by four. This Aggies team showed a lot of grit at Clemson, was just outmatched. I think A&M will get the job done today at home. They have been able to move the ball more consistently than Auburn this season and I think the Tigers will struggle to run the ball effectively today. That puts a lot on Bo Nix, who I still don’t trust to make the big plays. I know he did against Oregon, but A&M at home is another story.
