Arkansas Razorbacks Game Notes
Arkansas redshirt senior QB Feleipe’ Franks threw two interceptions and completed 19-of-36 passes for 200 yards in a 37-10 loss to Arkansas on Saturday. When Franks was targeting Treylon Burks, decent things happened. The former Florida starter gave the Razorbacks a 7-0 lead in the first quarter with a 49-yarder to Burks. From that point on, the Arkansas offense sputtered, and they were only able to add a field goal for the rest of the contest. Franks turned the ball over twice in the loss, and made some silly decisions while struggling to get the ball down field outside of that touchdown. He’ll assuredly be the starter again next Saturday when Arkansas faces Mississippi State.
Mississippi State Bulldogs Game Notes
Mississippi State freshman QB Will Rogers (undisclosed) was unavailable to play against LSU last Saturday. Rogers (6’2/205) waged a respectable challenge against Stanford transfer K.J. Costello for the starting job in camp, but the former second-team All Pac-12 QB outlasted the true spirited true freshman. As is usually the case with HC Mike Leach, there wasn’t much clarity as to the nature of the injury to Rogers. Leach only offered “We’re hoping for the best.” in response to a question about Rogers’ availability. Mississippi State will look to remain undefeated when they face Arkansas this Saturday.
