Alabama vs. LSU Total Prediction
The biggest game in college football this week will take place in Baton Rouge when the LSU Tigers host the Alabama Crimson Tide at 8:00 p.m. ET. With the number sitting at 54 currently, is the under or the over the best play for bettors as far as the total?
Game Snapshot
419 Alabama Crimson Tide at 420 LSU Tigers

Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Crimson Tide are 14.5-point favorites to beat the Tigers. The total, meanwhile, sits at 54 points. As of this writing, 56% of the public betting tickets wagered on this matchup are on the Tigers.
Alabama Crimson Tide
In the first release of the College Football Playoff rankings, Alabama, Clemson, LSU and Notre Dame were ranked Nos. 1-4, respectively. Those first four seeds, of course, will be earmarked for our four Playoff combatants when the final rankings are released in a little over a month. For now, just view the rankings as a sort of guidepost for who is in serious contention for those spots. Michigan came in at No. 5 in this release, followed by Georgia, Oklahoma, Washington State, Kentucky and Ohio State. Washington State and Kentucky are the most interesting names in the top-10 beyond the accustomed. Undefeated UCF currently ranks No. 12. We could be in for a shakeup in the top-four after this coming weekend, as Alabama will be traveling to Death Valley to face LSU. Should the Tide lose to the Tigers, we wouldn’t necessarily expect them to drop a substantial amount, but should LSU fall in defeat and Michigan handle itself against Penn State, UM should have a fantastic chance to jump into the upper-echelon fray.
LSU Tigers
LSU HC Ed Orgeron declared redshirt junior DT Breiden Fehoko (undisclosed) healthy for Saturday’s contest against Alabama. Fehoko was questionable for the October 20 game against Mississippi State, and while he was announced as a starter, Orgeron held him out for what appears to be precautionary reasons. He should be 100 percent for Saturday’s monster game against Alabama, and he’ll be tasked with helping stock the Crimson Tide run game.
Betting Trends
Alabama
The over is 4-1 in the Crimson Tide’s last five games after allowing less than 100 yards rushing in their previous game.
LSU
The over is 6-1 in the Tigers’ last seven games after scoring less than 20 points in their previous game.
Prediction
The under is a perfect 5-0 in the last five meetings between these two teams in Baton Rouge and 4-0 in the last four meetings between these two teams overall. That said, this is the best offense that Saban has had in Tuscaloosa and at least thus far, this LSU team hasn’t been the same “three yards and a cloud of dust” that it has been in years past. With Joe Burrow under center, the Tigers have taken more shots down field in the passing game and have stayed aggressive while protecting a lead in the second half. The over is 4-1 in the Tigers’ last five games overall and 4-1 in the Tide’s last five games overall. I like a rare over to cash in this matchup.
