USC vs. Stanford Free Pick
The ABC Game of the Week features No. 16 Stanford and the previously ranked USC Trojans at 8:00PM ET. Read on to check out our free pick for this Week 6 matchup.
Before we make our pick for tonight’s game, let’s take a look at the odds.
Oddsmakers from online sports book BroburySports.com have made Stanford a 10-point favorite over USC in Week 6. The over/under total for this game has been set at 59.5 points.
The Cardinal lost their first game of the year last week in Eugene, as Oregon knocked them off, 52-31. They’re 4-1 on the year and have covered in three of their first five games.
The Trojans are 4-1 on the year, but just 2-3 against the number. They are 3-0 on the road this season, which includes a 2-1 ATS record. Stanford is 2-0 at home, with a 1-1 mark against the number.
The Pick:
Ten points? Ten points? That seems high. USC is 1-5 against the spread in the last six meetings between these two teams, but the road team is 4-1 ATS in the last five games and the underdog is 5-1 ATS in the last six contests. My pick is the Trojans, who are 8-2 against the number in their last 10 games as a road underdog, while the Cardinal are just 1-5 against the spread in their last six games after accumulating more than 450 total yards in their previous game. Stanford is coming off an emotional loss and while I see the Cardinal winning this game outright, I like the Trojans to even up their ATS record this year. My pick is USC +10.
